Climb more. See more. Eat more.

That's the whole philosophy.

I built The Altitude Guide because I think the hardest part of any adventure is starting. Not the climb, not the headwind, just getting out the door. I'm here to make that easier: fewer unknowns, more confidence, and hopefully a little inspiration to clip in and go somewhere new.

I love being outside. I love travelling. I love eating. Cycling is the perfect way to combine all three and then collapse into a chair with a coffee and a pastry at the end of it.

For everyone with two wheels

First ride or five-hundredth ride, it doesn't matter. If you're curious about where to go, what to expect, and how to make the most of your time in the saddle, you're in the right place.

What's here

  • Destinations— where to ride, stay, and eat in Europe's best cycling regions
  • Rides — specific routes, all the detail, ready for you to go and ride them
  • Guides — the practical stuff that nobody tells you, or you are to shy to ask

The person behind this

Swimmer turned runner turned cyclist. No, before you ask — I do not do triathlons.

I live in Europe and everything I share comes from my own experiences out on the road. I started cycling three years ago, made every possible mistake. I'm still learning.

I was lucky, when the going gets tough, I have the help of my boyfriend, an ex-professional cyclist, to guide me through. Not everyone has that, so I hope The Altitude Guide can be that for you.

I hope you'll learn from my wrong turns, join me on the journey, and reach new altitudes of your own.
